Cookie Policy

How Recruitta Limited uses cookies and similar technologies.

At a glance

Essential technologies may operate so the website works securely. Technologies that require consent, including non-exempt analytics and advertising technologies, remain off unless you choose to allow them.

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Recruitta Limited uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on websites that we operate. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information more generally.

The exact technologies used can change when website features, forms, security services or analytics tools change. For accuracy, the current cookie inventory is displayed through the “Cookie settings” or “Manage cookies” link on our website. That live inventory forms part of this policy.

2. Who we are

Recruitta Limited (“Recruitta”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is registered in Scotland under company number SC667162. Our registered office is 294 Duke Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G31 1RZ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZB159936.

Questions about cookies, online privacy or your choices can be sent to privacy@recruitta.com.

3. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on or read from a device when someone visits a website. Cookies can recognise a device, remember choices, maintain a secure session or help a website owner understand how a service is used.

Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local or session storage, software development kits, link identifiers and device information used for the same types of storage or access. In this policy, “cookies” includes these technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

4. The rules we follow

We apply the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended. Where consent is required, we provide clear information and obtain an affirmative choice before the technology operates. Consent can be withdrawn as easily as it is given.

Some limited uses may be exempt from consent, including where a technology is:

  • strictly necessary to provide a service that you have requested;
  • needed solely to transmit a communication over a network;
  • used for limited statistical purposes with the safeguards and simple means of objecting required by law;
  • used only to adapt the appearance or function of the service to your preferences, with the safeguards and simple means of objecting required by law; or
  • needed in an emergency to locate a person making an emergency communication.

Unless our preference centre clearly identifies that an exemption applies and provides any required means of objecting, we treat analytics, functionality and advertising technologies as requiring consent.

5. The categories we use

Strictly necessary

Security, consent choices, load balancing, form protection and essential website functions. Always active. They do not require consent where the legal exemption applies.

Preferences and functionality

Remember choices or enable optional features, such as embedded content or enhanced forms. Used only with consent unless a specific legal exemption applies and an appropriate objection route is provided.

Analytics and performance

Help us understand visits, popular pages, errors and website performance. Off until consent unless a compliant statistical-purpose exemption is specifically used.

Advertising and social media

Measure campaigns, build audiences, personalise advertising or track activity across services. Not currently intended as a default website function. If introduced, these remain off until consent.

6. The current cookie inventory

The live cookie preference centre identifies the technologies currently configured on our website. For each one it lists, where applicable:

  • the cookie or technology name;
  • its provider and whether it is first-party or third-party;
  • its purpose and category;
  • when it is activated; and
  • how long it remains on the device.

A session cookie normally expires when the browser closes. A persistent cookie remains until its stated expiry date or until it is deleted. If the inventory is unavailable or you need more detail, contact privacy@recruitta.com.

7. How to make or change a choice

On your first visit, our consent tool offers “Accept all”, “Reject all” and category choices. Rejecting is as accessible as accepting, and optional cookies remain off until chosen. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” or “Manage cookies” link in the website footer.

Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent forms or security features from working. Clearing browser storage may remove your saved choice, so the website may ask again.

9. Third-party technologies and embedded content

Optional features may come from analytics, recruitment, maps, video, social media or form providers. Where consent is required, they remain blocked until it is given. The live inventory identifies each provider, which may use information under its own privacy notice when acting as an independent controller.

10. Personal information collected through cookies

Cookie information may include an IP address, device details, identifiers, visit times, referrals, pages viewed, interactions, errors and consent choices. It does not normally include CV or form contents, although security technologies may support secure submission. Our Privacy Policy explains the purposes, lawful bases, sharing, transfers, retention, security and your rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our technologies or legal requirements change. We publish the latest version and request a new choice where earlier consent is no longer sufficiently specific or informed.
