Terms of Use

Terms governing access to and use of Recruitta Limited’s website.

At a glance

Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.

1. About us and these terms

This website is operated by Recruitta Limited (“Recruitta”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in Scotland under company number SC667162. Our registered office is 294 Duke Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G31 1RZ.

These terms govern use of our website, including vacancy pages, information pages, contact forms, candidate registration and partner enquiries. They do not replace any separate terms of business, candidate agreement, assignment terms, employment contract, supplier agreement or client contract. If there is a conflict, the separately agreed written terms govern the relevant service or relationship.

For general website enquiries, use the Contact page. Questions about personal information should be sent to privacy@recruitta.com.

2. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with recruitment, work-seeking, supplying services, partnering with us or learning about Recruitta. You are responsible for making the arrangements necessary to access the website and for ensuring that anyone who accesses it through your connection understands these terms.

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively or in a way that infringes another person’s rights;
  • submit information that is knowingly false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, confidential without authority, or otherwise unlawful;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, authority, qualifications or relationship with an organisation;
  • introduce malware, harmful code or other material that could damage, disrupt or compromise the website or any connected system;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, servers, databases, accounts or security controls;
  • scrape, harvest, copy or use website content or personal information at scale without our written permission;
  • use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the website or circumvents technical restrictions; or
  • use website content to build, train or enrich a competing database, service or artificial-intelligence model without our written permission.

3. Vacancies, applications and recruitment information

Vacancy descriptions and recruitment information are provided in good faith, but may be supplied by clients and may change, be withdrawn or be filled without notice. Unless confirmed in a separate written agreement, website content is not an offer of employment, engagement or assignment and does not create a contract.

Submitting an enquiry, registration, CV or application does not guarantee an interview, introduction, placement, assignment or response. Hiring and engagement decisions may be made by a client or another organisation. Any salary, rate, hours, location, benefits, duration, duties, eligibility or start date must be confirmed in the applicable written offer or contract.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate, current and not misleading. You must have the right to provide any information or document concerning another person. We may ask for evidence of identity, right to work, qualifications, references or safeguarding status where relevant and lawful.

4. Forms, CVs and other submissions

When you submit information or files through the website, you retain ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, copy, review, adapt for technical compatibility and use that content only as reasonably necessary to respond to you, provide recruitment or partnership services, operate our business and comply with law. Our Privacy Policy and relevant Candidate or Supplier and Partner Notice explain how we use personal information.

Do not submit malware, material you do not have permission to disclose, or excessive sensitive information. In particular, do not send bank details, medical records or PVG disclosure information through a general website form unless we specifically request it through an approved secure process.

5. Intellectual property

The website and its text, design, branding, graphics, software, databases and other content are owned by or licensed to Recruitta and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Recruitta’s name and branding may not be used without prior written permission.

You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own personal use or internal business evaluation. You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, modify or commercially exploit website content without our written permission, except where the law permits. Any permitted copy must retain applicable copyright and ownership notices.

7. Website availability and security

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, compatibility with every device, or that the website will always be free from bugs or harmful material. We may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change any part of it for maintenance, security, legal, commercial or operational reasons.

You should use your own security controls, virus protection and backups. You must not rely on the website as the sole record of an application, message, instruction, deadline or contractual commitment.

8. Accuracy and reliance

Website content is provided for general information and recruitment purposes. It is not legal, tax, immigration, financial, professional or career advice. You should obtain appropriate advice and independently verify information before acting on it. Although we take reasonable care, we do not promise that all content is complete, accurate or current.

9. Our responsibility to you

Rights that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Nothing affects any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

If you use the website as an individual or consumer

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, was caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or is a business loss arising from your use of the website for commercial purposes.

If you use the website for business purposes

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied conditions, warranties and representations relating to the website. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, arising from use of or inability to use the website or reliance on its content. These exclusions do not apply where the law does not permit them.

Nothing on the website makes us responsible for a client’s hiring decision, workplace, conduct, solvency or compliance, or for information and services controlled by a third party. Any liability connected with a separately contracted service is governed by the terms of that contract.

10. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. The Candidate Data Notice and Supplier and Partner Notice provide more specific information for those groups. Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used. These documents form part of the information governing your use of the website.

11. Suspending or ending access

We may block, suspend or end access to the website where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, access creates a security or legal risk, or action is needed to protect Recruitta, our clients, candidates, partners or systems. We may preserve and disclose relevant evidence where required or permitted by law.

12. Changes to the website and these terms

We may update the website and these terms to reflect changes in our services, technology, security or legal obligations. The current version will be published on the website with its last-updated date. Changes apply from publication unless a later date is stated. If a change materially affects an existing contracted service, the applicable contract terms will determine how that change is handled.

13. General legal terms

If a provision of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. These terms do not give rights to anyone other than you and Recruitta, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

14. Governing law and courts

These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from the website are governed by Scots law. If you use the website for business purposes, the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are an individual consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections that apply to you.
